Back again!

August 23, 2010 - 4:54 pm 4 Comments

We are back from our Road Trip to San Diego and already planning for the next one ;) heeheeee Yeah, we have been driving 875 miles in total and it was FUN to be in the car with Adrian for so many hours! I can’t wait to our “Around America in 40 Days” Road Trip :D

We went to visit friends and they showed us San Diego and Disneyland. San Diego is now in the top 10 cities in my book!! I love it!! We visited Balboa Park (that I looooove by the way), Seaside Village, Old Town, Downtown and lots more. Of course I took a ton of pictures…

Isn’t that a funny sticker??? :D

On Friday we had to get up very early in the morning and drove to Disneyland. The first few hours were great. The weather was nice and not too hot and the rides are a lot of fun too. But then it got hotter and hotter…. It was crazy! I hate hot weather, especially when it is over 100°….. Yuck! I really love the Pirates of the Caribbean Ride ;)

Since I won’t be able to scrapbook on our 40 day road trip that starts on Sep 20th, I am now preparing a little surprise for my blog readers :D I just say: Videos ;) hihi  If you have an idea or suggestion about a topic I could make a video about, please let me know right now ;) I would be very happy about every comment and e-mail :D

OH MY GOSH!!

August 16, 2010 - 10:40 pm 7 Comments

We just got home from cleaning our car. Adrian exchanged the oil (and felt very man-like hihi) while I was cleaning the interior with Windex – of course, all in the dark, because it got later than we thought (we have been cooking a very good swiss meal for dinner…. yummy…)

But, that is not even near what I want to share with you!! (It was mostly just kind of an Intro and Excuse, why I wirte NOW and not earlier…….. sorry….)

Okay, so on Sunday I woke up and started my computer (somethingI always do on a morning, right after cuddling with my one and only love…) So I look at my E-Mails and see that one with the title “Design Team News”. I open it and the first two sentence are:

“I was excited to see your application -I love your work. Your on the team!!!!!”

Team?? What team?? Me?? Why me?? I read it again and again (even tough the E-mail was much longer than just that ;) ) And finally I get it! Me, on the Design Team!!!! And not just ANY Design Team, it’s BLUE MOON SCRAPBOOKING!!!!!!!! OH MY GOSH!!!!!!! I was on my feet 10 times faster than normal and jumped/danced around (poor neighbours downstairs……) and run streight up to Adrian :D I could’t even talk in the beginning I was so excited!! :)

(Please click HERE fort the original announcement on Blue Moon Scrapbooking)

I can’t wait to start working for them! It is a huuuuge dream come true for me!! :D

But that was not all for this special day. A few posts ago I have talked about our crazy idea of the crazy road trip around America. Well, in the afternoon after church Adrian started to calculate and finally he came to the conclusion, that we can’t afford to go….. I almost started to cry. I kinda knew already, that we wouldn’t do it, just because of the tide budget we have to live with right now. So I tried to take it like a big girl (and was just down instead of crying like a baby….)

Later on we then took a short walk. I was still down and it was pretty hard for me to enjoy the thought of being in the greatest Design Team ever… And then he did it. Right there. In the middle of the forrest. With other people around us……. He gave me a letter he has written and I started to read. He talked about the small things he loves about me. How he is happy that I am his wife and so on. It was sooo cute. And then I was shocked when I read the last sentenses!

One last thing. I decided that we will go on a 40 day road trip around America and we will leave on September 20th 2010.

OH MY GOSH!!!! (don’t give my soul two great surprises on one day… My heart could stop beating!!) He did it once again!!! He surprised me like no one else can!! Once again on this day I was jumping and dancing (kind of embarressing with people all around us…… lalalaaaa) I couldn’t believe it and yet I knew that he was not kidding about it! He was deadly serious! GOSH!!! What a great day!!

Later on I asked him, if he was sure that we can do it – money wise….. Yes, he was sure. He just said it in the afternoon to surprise me more…. How romantic is that!!?? I LOVE HIM SOOOO MUCH!!!!! (and I can’t wait until Sep 20th!!!!)

That’s about the route we want to take – actually this is an older version… We won’t be entering Canada because of my Immigration Status…… Too bad… And we might visit Las Vegas instead of going to San Diego. I CAN’T WAIT!!!

PS: Tomorrow I am going to pick a winner for the giveaway! So if you haven’t given it a try, do it now ;)

Road Trip and Stamps

July 6, 2010 - 7:38 pm 6 Comments

Our 1-day Road Trip on Friday was a blast! It was so good to drive 400 miles and enjoy each other while we were singing and laughing in the car! California is such a beautiful and stunning state! I have been in Santa Barbara a year ago but never more northern than San Francisco.. I was absolutley amazed, how beautiful the landscapes are and how you really feel the ‘wild wild west’ up there!

Today I have been working all day long on my new Clear Stamp Collections! Yes, after a long back and forth in my mind Adrian has finally convinced me to do it! We will start small and I am designing four brand new collections, but there are already more designs around, that hopefully will come out later on in fall sometimes. I am very very excited and I can’t wait to start stamping with those stamps :D

I don’t want to show you the collections already, but for the fourth collection I wanted to involve you a little! Lately I have been doing some splashes and splatters and played around with them a little. I always thought, that those trahsy designs would look very cool on layouts. As far as I know Tim Holtz has brought out one Stamp set with splashes on. Here a little sneak peak, how it would look like….

Now, would you buy such a stamp set or would you not?? What do you think?? Please leave me a comment here on this post! I would love to know what you think about this idea!! :D

By the way, have you seen the two new Pages here, Gallery and Custom Made??

Finally we got our car AC fixed and tomorrow we are going on our first road trip this summer! yay!! We are planning on going north, somewhere to the Napa Valley…. I’m so excited!!

Just minutes before we got back from the theater, we watched Eclipse. It was okay. To be true, I had much higher expectations! But we also saw the trailer for the 3. Narnia movie! That looks awesome…… Just another 6 months to wait… ;) haha

Okay, have a great weekend and enjoy the sun!

By the way, I would love to do a video about making a mini album! :) Thanks for the idea :)

the Road to Hana Pictures

June 10, 2010 - 11:16 am 3 Comments

Finally I started to go through my Honeymoon pictures! Finally!! And now I would like to show you some pictures from our Trio to Hana!

Click on this picture to get a better feeling of this black and white scene. I love it! I already decided to hang them on our living room wall ;)

I was a little disappointed, that there were more or less just rocky beaches instead of the white, sandy, endless beaches I dreamd of! But anyways, they were great for taking pictures ;)

This we also found on our way to Hana. I have never seen something like this before and it was GREAT! And I mean it ;) The big trees were breath taking and so were the colors of the flowers.
