WOW

August 30, 2010 - 3:17 pm 2 Comments

Oh my gosh! I am amazed how many sales we got just during the first couple of days since my stamps are ready to be shipped!! WOW!! Thank you so much for your support!! We also got wholesale requests!! Can you imagine??? That is really the cherry on top!! :D heeheeee

Right now I am working on a catalog for the stamps :) I know, we just have four simple sets, but hey! It is fun and inspirational and I think the time worth :) Once I’m done I will show it to you. Here a little sneaky peaky ;)

I found this layout I did a couple of weeks ago. I used a lot of my “Tabs” stamps on this one. They work great as Journal spots or as simple and unique embellishments ;) (hint hint – If you are interested in those stamps you should really hurry up – there are just 2 remaining!!)

“Summer” Tutorial

August 2, 2010 - 10:09 am 1 Comment

I have been bombarded with the one question: How did you do the “Summer” title??? Well to make it easy on me I would like to show you how I did that here in public ;)

  1. Take a piece of transparency.
  2. Create your title on the transparency with alpha stickers.
  3. Take a Versamark ink and go over the title and transparency. Remember, you want to create an embossed background and clear letters, means that you need to use lots of the ink!
  4. Put embossing powder on top and heat emboss. Be very careful, the transparency might shrink!
  5. Remove the stickers and you are good to go!

Easy, isn’t it?? :)   Here again the Layout and the details of the title…

Before this post already ends I wanted to let you know that I have received the samples of my new stamp collections!!! I would looooove to show you the designs already, but I think it is better if I wait with that a little ;) But be prepared for four (4) brand new collections that go together very very well!! :) yay!! More details are following :)

Summer Video :D

Yesterday I created this layout about my favorite summer “food” (dessert…..?) heheee  Homemade sherbet…… Yummy… :D

Recipe: Put frozen or fresh berries with some yogurt, sugar, orange juice and vanilla into a cup and blend it. Then put it into the freezer for about 4 hours. READY!!! :D

Tips and Tricks for colorful layouts: Sometimes bright colors overtake the important picture, especially if you have more than just one huge photo. To go against that without changing the patterned paper try to use some black or white acrylic paint underneath the picture(s). It will make your pictures pop and give the whole layout an artsy look!

new Projects with my Designs ;)

February 12, 2010 - 9:42 am 2 Comments

I was so inspired by my stamp designs, that I had to scrapbook a little more ;) hihi

So I made this layout and a frame. The layout is for the custom order of a wedding. It will be a 10 page album about the bachelor party and the wedding itself. I looooove to do that kind of work :)

Oh yeah, before I forget, if you would like to get a stamp set you should let me know as soon as possible ;) They are going away like crazy!!! I have already so many reservations that we have to think about producing more stamps ;) LOL

And then we have the frame… It is originally from IKEA. It comes as a blank white or black frame and is very shiny. I just had that item left and thought about making a big a statement with it so I took some paper tissues and glued them with a mix of white glue and water onto the surface. It is such a quick and easy way. If you would like to get a colored frame, just paint it with acrylic paint!! So much fun!!

some Layouts

September 28, 2009 - 7:48 pm 1 Comment

Okay, here we go! Some layouts I wanna show you. I actually made them some weeks ago, but I never showed them anywhere..

Nr.1, this layout is about my engagement. Do you know the mountain “Matterhorn”? Yeah, Adrian surprised me with that trip and with a very beautiful shiny ring…… :D

Notes: the titles are selfmade transparencies and the butterfly is selfmade too. I cut it out of a patterned paper and embossed it with my black glitz embossing pouder. I love this technique!!

Here we go, Nr.2! This layout is probably about 6 months old… I just adore this funny photo! The gray background creates a perfect contrast to the colorful and fun embellishments.

Notes: Again, I did a lot by myself for that layout. The trancparency with the ABC, the speech bubbles and the XOXO title are handmade – using computer, PhotoShop CS2 and a laser printer.

Nr.3: This layout is an old one too. I think the reason I never published it are the photos… ;)   We had a lot of fun with those Mikado sticks……

Notes: The arrow, title and polka dotted background are selfmade again. It is so much cheaper, if you are able to do those things by yourself than buy all the items and get a layout that costs $ 10.00..
